Spring 1973

Baseball season has started for the Cappelletti's and Joey was extremely excited. Joey's dad decided to coach Joey's team, the Cardinals but even with all the extra practice Joey never his as much as a foul ball. Anne was worried that Joey would be embarressed because he wasn't doing well. Joey wrote John a letter saying how great he was at baseball, because he was to embarressed to tell him the truth. At the Cards last game, JOey got his 1st and only hit at a crucial moment. It ended up clinching the game. Joey was so happy and John was there to see it all. That summer was a busy one for everyone, but John still found time to play with Joey. When Joey went to his doctor visit he ran into his friend Mark who said he was trying to raise money so he could go to Disneyworld. So Joey started raising money so he could go. Summer was coming to an end and John and Michael were preparing to go back to college. Joey is telling John that he will be All-American and that he has to win the Heisman Trophy.
