In "Something for Joey," Joey felt like quitting baseball. His father told him that John wouldn't quit and reminded Joey of how John would feel if he would quit. Joey never quit baseball. Have you ever had a time where you felt discouraged and felt like quitting? Did you quit? Why or why not?

Our group agress that there have been times in all of our lives where we have felt like quiting. In sports, school, or any oher sort we have all wanted to quit. We did because we know that in the game of life you can't quit and there are going to be hard times but we have to push through them. Instead we jsut depended on our team and our family to help support us through the time when we needed them the most. There are always going to be times where we want to quit but if you always quit when something goes wrong then you will never know how to get through anything that goes wrong in your life. It may not seem like a big deal to quit something but it may effect you more in the after thought and that is why we have never quit,
Yeah few years ago i played summer baseball for Lakefield and our team was so worthless it wasn't even funny. We won one game and got rocked the other 20 or so. I had a lot better of things to do then get beat every other day. Yup so that is why I got discouraged and quit.
As a group we said that the time was when it was hall week for Football. Why there was so much runing and no fun at all. But did not end up quiting. Why becaues we where going to get better and faster and it was a week to get back in shap and to show everone that you are going to get better then last year.
I have definitely experienced times when I just want to quit and give up. Usually my parents and friends help me through these tough times. I didn't quit because I knew that if I did, I would feel even worse.
When I get through a tough time when I feel like giving up, it makes me feel like I accomplished something, whereas if I quit, I wouldn't have accomplished anything besides showing people that I don't have enough guts to keep playing.
